સાવરકુંડલામાં છેલ્લા લાંબા સમયથી સેવાકીય પ્રવૃત્તિઓ દ્વારા સમગ્ર સૌરાષ્ટ્ર અને ગુજરાતભરમાં લોકચાહના પ્રાપ્ત વિદ્યાગુરૂ ફાઉન્ડેશન સંચાલિત લલ્લુભાઈ શેઠ આરોગ્ય મંદિરના લાભાર્થે તા.3 ફેબ્રુ. થી 11 ફેબ્રુઆરી 2018 દરમિયાન યોજાયેલ મોરારિબાપુની કથાના અવસરે તા.4 ફેબ્રુઆરી, રવિવાર સાંજના 5:30 કલાકથી રામકથા ગ્રાઉન્ડ ખાતે અનોખા સન્માન પર્વનું આયોજન કરવામાં આવ્યું હતું. દેશ-વિદેશના દાતાઓ અને શ્રોતાઓ તથા સ્થાનિક જનતા અને વિશાળ સાહિત્યરસિકો, કલાપ્રેમીઓની ઉપસ્થિતિમાં ખ્યાતનામ સાહિત્યકારો, લેખકો, કવિઓ, સંગીત પ્રતિભાઓને વિવિધ એવોર્ડ, સ્મૃતિ પુરસ્કારોથી નવાજવામાં આવ્યા હતા.
આ પર્વ નિમિત્તે લાંબા સમયથી લંડન (યુ..કે) સ્થાયી થઈ તળ ગુજરાત અને ગુજરાતી ડાયસ્પોરા વચ્ચે સતત સેતુરૂપ ભૂમિકા નિભાવવા માટે જાણીતા પત્રકાર- લેખક, ઑપિનિયન ઓનલાઈન મેગેઝિનના તંત્રી અને ગુજરાતી સાહિત્ય અકાદમી (યુ.કે.)ના પ્રમુખ શ્રી વિપુલ કલ્યાણીને “ઉમાશંકર જોશી વિશ્વ-ગુર્જરી એવોર્ડે (2018)”થી સન્માનિત કરવામાં આવ્યા હતા. આ પ્રસંગે જાણીતા કટારલેખક અને વક્તા જય વસાવડાએ વક્તવ્ય આપ્યું હતું.
