The incumbent president (Sitanshu Yashschandra) of Gujarati Sahitya Parishad has been saying: ‘વિષાણુ’ સામે ‘વીજાણુ’-ની આ લડતમાં બને તેટલી વધારે છાપામાર લડતો લડવી છે. In solidarity with this spirit, our Academy has been mounting far reaching assaults with international commanders such as Suman Shah and Raghuvir Chaudhary.

In this series, the commander-in-chief will be USA based playwright and actor Rajni P Shah (aka Rp). We expect that you will join the force and provide your flanking support on: Saturday, 5 September 2020 [ 14:00 BST (UK), 9.00 EDT (USA), 18:30 IST(India) ] via Google Meet: https://meet.google.com/aep-shiz-arh

We had a successful live session with Sumanbhai Shah on Saturday, 4 July 2020 via Skype. However, we noticed that the demand was greater than what Skype could handle, which unfortunately resulted in some disappointments. We are sorry if you weren’t able to connect. The recording can be accessed from Academy’s Facebook forum:

Dear Members and Friends,

As you know, Gujarati Literary Academy has completed 40 years since its inception in 12 Feb 1977. We have been organising number of major events / felicitations in 2017 and 2018 as part of Ruby celebrations.

To mark the end of the celebrations in a subtle and reflective manner, Academy is organising a day event on Sunday 16 Sep 2018 at Mandhata Youth and Community Centre from 10.00 am onward. The purpose of this day seminar is to reflect on the work and contribution of UK based Gujarati writers in domains such as literature, language, journalism and culture. Further details of the event is given in the latest issue of e-Asmita attached with this message. Academy would heartily appreciate any small or big voluntary contributions to meet the expenses of the Ruby celebrations.

Please also note that, as part of our monthly sessions, we have opportunity to:
